Cycling for Cancer Survival Support in Nepal.

Cycle Culture Community, in collaboration with Dhulikhel Hospital, is organizing a mega cycling event in January 2026 to support cancer survivors in Nepal.Cancer cases in Nepal have nearly doubled since 1990, with over 22,000 new cases and 14,700 deaths reported in 2022. The average annual cost of cancer treatment—around USD 3,687 (NPR 479,310)—is unaffordable for many patients. This initiative aims to create a Cancer Relief Fund to help those in financial need. The ride is led by Harka Lama and Kabita Chitrakar, both cancer survivors. Harka is a professional cyclist who returned to competitive racing after bladder cancer, while Kabita, a breast cancer survivor, uses cycling as a path to healing and strength.Together, they will cycle 1,800 km across Nepal’s Mid-Hill Highway, climbing 52,000 meters, to raise funds and hope for cancer survivors across the country.Support the ride. Ride for life.
